The Conference, sponsored by The Institute for Business and Finance Research, LLC, will be held January 9-12, 2008 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel, Honolulu, Hawaii.BENEFITS OF ATTENDING OUR CONFERENCES
Conference proceedings will be published under the Title "Global Conference on Business and Finance Proceedings," ISSN 1931-0285, CD-Rom and online.Important Deadlines Manuscript or abstraction submission November 12, 2007 Theoretical, empirical and applied papers in all areas of business, finance, marketing, management, accounting, MIS, public administration, economics, tourism, business education and related fields are welcome. Papers do not need to be global in nature. Both English and Spanish language sessions will be offered. An internet session will be offered for those unable to make the trip to Hawaii. The Conference is affiliated with four peer-reviewed
journals. The International Journal of Business and Finance Research (IJBFR);
International Journal of Management and Marketing Research; and Global Journal
of Business Research (GJBR) are scheduled for listing in the 11th edition of Cabell’s
directory. The IJBFR and GJBR are scheduled for indexing The American Economic
Association's Econlit, e-JEL and JEL on CD. Spanish language papers are published in Revista Internacional
Administración y Finanzas. Papers honored with the Outstanding Research Award at
the conference will be offered publication in one of our Journals. We anticipate
10-20 percent of submitted papers will win the award. In addition, papers
receiving the Best Paper in Session Award are reviewed for possible Journal

To subscribe to our mailing list, please send an email to subscribe@theibfr.com Submissions Submit a 200-word abstract or completed paper by e-mail to: submissions@theIBFR.com prior to the deadline noted above. Early submissions are greatly appreciated. All submissions must be in Microsoft Word or Acrobat PDF format. Include the contact information for all authors on the first page of the document. You will receive an email containing an acceptance or rejection letter within 10 business days. Conference Fees Regular conference registration is US$320 for the first paper and US$80 for each additional paper. All conference attendees are required to pay the fee. A US$50 late fee applies for registration fees paid after the deadline. Individuals that are not presenting a paper at the conference are invited to participate in the conference. Regular registration fees will apply. Full-time students will receive a US$45 discount off the conference registration fee. Documentation of student status is required. Hotel Reservations We encourage you to stay at the conference hotel and to arrange for your lodging early. Hawaii is a popular destination and hotels do sell out, especially during the winter months. We have arranged for a small block of rooms at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. The group rates are: Manor Rooms $145 (2-3 star) Taxes and fees apply. This group rate is available until December 9, 2007 or until the block of rooms is filled, whichever comes first.
