These Group rates will be honored Sunday, January 4 through Thursday, January 8, 2009. Friday, January 9, 2009 rate will be $125.00. To receive this group rate, attendees must call 1-800-677-7378 and ask for the Global Conference group rate (group reservation code BGLB09). Alternatively, you can book online at www.trumpmeetings.com On the right hand side of the screen, you will see “enter group reservation code,” enter the code BGLB09 and select Trump Plaza. The Hotel will start taken reservations on September 7, 2008. These rates are available until December 7, 2008, or until the available block of rooms is reserved, whichever occurs first. APPLICABLE ROOM TAX Rates quoted are subject to the applicable tax at time of occupancy. Currently the applicable tax is 14%, along with a $2.00 tourism fee and $3.00 occupancy fee per room, per night. RESERVATIONS CANCELLATION Individual cancellations must be received at least 72 hours prior to arrival or your card will be charged for the first night room and room tax. CUT-OFF DATES The reservation cut-off date for Sunday, December 7, 2008 based upon room availability. CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT Check-in time for all guests is 4:00 p.m. Groups may be checked-in earlier depending on occupancy levels and availability of “ready” rooms. Hotel policy requires each guest to present a credit card upon check-in. The credit card will be authorized $100 as a deposit for incidental fees that may incur during his/her stay. Check-out time is 12:00 noon. Any rooms not vacated by this time will be assessed a half day late check-out charge until 6:00 p.m., after which a full day’s charge will be added. USE OF HEALTH SPAS AND EXERCISE FACILITIES There is a nominal fee of $15.00 per person, per day, for use of the health spas and exercise facility. LOCATION/TRANSPORTATION Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino is located 15 minutes from the Atlantic City International Airport, 60 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport, and (5) five minutes from Atlantic City’s Amtrak train station. NEW JERSEY SMOKE FREE ACT The State of New Jersey has signed into law the New Jersey Smoke Free Act which prohibits smoking in all indoor public places, including 75 percent of the casino floor. PARKING The law provides for a $5.00 parking charge (self park or valet) which Trump Plaza will be collecting from patrons as they enter the garage. (Price is subject to change.) NEARBY ATTRACTIONS The Pier at Caesars is located diagonally across the Boardwalk from the Plaza's Boardwalk entrance. The first 2 levels are dedicated to shopping and include such names as Tiffany, Ann Taylor, Gucci and Tommy Bahama. The restaurants are all located on the 3rd level and run the gambit from a sports bar and an Irish Pub to Buddakan. Web: www.thepiershopsatcaesars.com The Quarter is located at Tropicana's Pacific Avenue side. This is about 5 walkable Boardwalk blocks. Shops include ladies apparel, florist, gifts and fine wines. Again, the dining options run full circle. The Quarter itself is a great looking spot with lots of activity. You will find Cuba Libre or Carmine's, The Palm, Red Square, PF Chang as well as an Irish Pub, Ri Ra, which has many loyal local fans. While The Pier and The Quarter give you a 'destination" experience as well as dinner, these 6 "stand alone" suggestions are truly worth visiting: Girasole is located adjacent to the Tropicana on Pacific Avenue. This has been an AC staple for 10 years or so. Good food. Lovely atmosphere and kind to your budget. www.girasoleac.com. Angelo's Fairmount Tavern - An AC tradition located 3 blocks from the Plaza in an area called "Ducktown", the Italian neighborhood. Casual. Lively. Great food. At least 3rd generation. Huge local following. Makes his own house wine.
